The Conservancy Summer Camp welcomes campers ages 5-12 in exploring nature through immersive, hands-on fun in the great outdoors.

Summer Camp 2026
Join us this summer for Summer Camp at Mt. Pleasant!
At the Conservancy’s nature summer camp, campers explore the great outdoors in our 232-acres of meadows, forests and streams. Kids get dirty building forts and playing in mud, hike along our 5-miles of trails discovering the flora and fauna of Maryland, and make friends while engaging in nature-themed games, crafts and activities.
– For campers ages 5-12
– Junior Counselor program for teens ages 13-17
– Staff to Camper ratio of 1:8
– Camp operates Monday through Friday (weeks of June 16-19 and June 29- July 2 are 4 day weeks)
– Open daily from 9:00-3:30. Before and After Care options available.
– 10 weekly sessions available, from June 16 through August 21.

My boys love nature camp because they get to “be free” in a way that you can’t really do in any indoor camp. They love to explore, find new insects and plants, learn about the environment and of course, play in the mud. As a parent, I love that they are doing a lot of physical activity, they aren’t looking at screens, they’re learning about science and nature, there is naturally a lot of sensory input, and best of all they come home tired, calm, and happy!
