Animal Spotlight: Terrapins

July 10, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 11:20 am

Diamondback Terrapins are the face of estuarine conservation efforts. Come get an up-close look at our animal ambassador terrapin, Torope, and learn how terrapins survive in the Chesapeake Bay. Terrapins once populated estuaries in great numbers. Learn what led to their decline, what the current threats are to this important aquatic species and what can be done to help support these creatures in the wild.

Simply visit the Conservancy’s Facebook page at 11 am to join us!
