Beyond Field Guides: Birding with Online Resources
Join experts from the Howard County Bird Club for a bird walk over mowed paths, then gather inside for a presentation about online resources to help you identify birds, discover birding locations and participate in the local, regional and global birding community through participatory science opportunities. Resources covered include: Cornell Lab’s All About Birds, eBird, Project FeederWatch, Merlin Bird ID and BirdCast.
Bring binoculars (some will be available to borrow). Download Merlin Bird ID (free) by Cornell Lab on your phone before the workshop.
