Cryptid Crawl & Halloween Week Hike

Join arborist Lou Meyer and Conservancy naturalists on a night hike to discover what sorts of creatures might be lurking in the dark! Learn the spooky Maryland lore about the Goatman of P.G. County, our watery friend Chessie and the Snallygaster. The scary level will be kept low for the kiddos as the group hikes along the Conservancy’s trails at night. Recommended for ages 5 and older. This program’s rain date is Thursday, Oct. 29. Space limited. Advanced registration required.

Enjoy a spooky night out with family a couple days before the Halloween fun begins. Costumes are welcome! Please be aware they might get muddy/dirty on the trails. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes appropriate for walking trails at dusk. Flashlights are welcome, as are good stories to share. This is a beginning-level walk that will last about 90 minutes. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the event. If a program is canceled by the Conservancy, participants will be notified and offered a refund. All other program fees are non-refundable and support educational programs at the Conservancy. Organized groups may not be able to be accommodated at our free programs.
