School Programs

The Howard County Conservancy’s school programs educate students about nature and the environment through programs and classes, restoration projects and demonstrations, and service learning opportunities. Programs are aligned with Howard County Public School curriculum to provide an outdoor extension of classroom learning. Each year, approximately 10,000 school children take part in the Conservancy’s education programs. These include specially developed on-site and in-school programs ranging from nature walks, environmental activities, citizen science and games. In addition to programs for grades K- 12, the Conservancy offers pre-school programs, programs for scouts, and programs for home-schoolers. Please call the Conservancy for information about these programs or to schedule a trip.
