During a macro photography field trip at the Conservancy this fall, Lisa Mayo spotted this Bold Jumper spider, with its iridescent green mouth parts. Jumping spiders enter diapause in winter, almost like hibernation. They emerge from their silken shelters in early spring to finish molting.
